Development History

Qingyuan Food Co., Ltd., the parent company of Qingyuan group, was founded in 1985. The former was known as Shandong Yishui County Qingyuan Food Factory, established with the support of Qingdao Food Factory. In 1998, the enterprise was restructured into Shandong Qingyuan Food Group Co., Ltd. In August 2002, the enterprise carried out the reform of stock system to change the name into “Shandong Qingyuan Food Co., Ltd”. In October 2003, the name of the company was changed to “Qingyuan Food Co., Ltd.”, and “Qingyuan Group” was established in March 2010.

At the early stage of plant construction, the company only has 79 workers with the area of 23 mu, and the main production equipment for the production of general pastries is two small stove. In 1986, new beverage production line and candy production line were installed. In 1987, new maltose and fructose production lines were installed. In 1989, a calcium milk biscuit production line was introduced under the support of Qingdao food factory. In 1990, new instant noodle production line was installed. In 1994, an investment of 35 million yuan and a land acquisition of 160 mu were invested to expand the projects biscuits, instant noodles, candy, starch sugar, printing, cartons and so on, and new dairy products, meat products and other projects. In that year, the output value was 160 million yuan and the profits and taxes were 11.37 million yuan, so as to become the first enterprise with profits and taxes over ten million yuan. From 1995 to 1998, the company invested more than 30 million yuan in more than ten production lines including instant noodles, apricot, dairy products and meat products to develop more than 20 varieties of Weihua cake and ham sausage, and the company’s products are more diversified. In June 1999, 140 mu of land was expropriated at one time with an investment of 120 million yuan, and in the new year, the annual output of 300000 tons of corn deep processing project and 6000kW thermal power plant were installed. In 2003, 350 mu of land was expropriated and 120 million yuan was invested to build a new five branch company. The high grade flour production line with the daily production of 250 tons was installed. Two 6000kW thermal power units was expanded. Two new high-grade printing production lines and four new high-grade biscuit production lines have been set up, and put into operation in July 2004. Since 2004, the company has invested tens of millions yuan in the implementation of biogas power generation, flue gas desulfurization, sewage treatment, water recycling, starch sugar equipment manufacturing and other technical transformation projects. High-grade instant noodles, chili sauce, eight treasure porridge and other advanced production and processing equipment were installed. On June 23, 2010, the project with an investment of 300 million yuan and an annual output of 200000 tons of sugar alcohol was started to lay the foundation, which was successfully completed and put into operation at the end of 2012. On May 18, 2011, 400 million yuan was invested to start the construction of modern food base project in the five branches to build China’s food aircraft carrier.

It can be said that Qingyuan has been developing steadily from the completion of the company to today’s scale, which not only creates a huge Qingyuan, but also writes down a wonderful stroke for the development of Yishui and even the whole Yimeng old area.
